Jean-Luc Maria, Exotrail Co-Founder and CEO joined the French Presidential Delegation on a two-day visit to India as part of India’s Republic Day celebrations (26th January). The delegation had a focus on cultural and economic initiatives including the space sectors with Minister of Culture, Rachida Dati, and Minister of the Armed Forces, Sébastien Lecornu, also joining President Macron for the trip.
Exotrail was honored to be invited to the event, marking the increased cooperation and trade between France and India. With a mix of both large and mid-sized companies, the delegation exemplified the diverse and innovative space landscape in France.
After an official reception where the delegation met Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Emmanuel Macron highlighted at the Résidence de France the importance of the cooperation with newspace companies. The attention to our sector was brought to life by the many discussions between both country’s space companies, big and small, throughout the trip.
It was a privilege to share our experiences of the French ecosystem, and the need for start-ups like Exotrail, with representatives from the Indian space industry. During the trip, Exotrail also announced the signing of our contract with XDLINX Labs, our first customer in India.
